A complete redesign of their old website to be more modern, mobile responsive, and user friendly.

Current users and employees of the foundation said their biggest pain point was not having an online form for Grant Applications. They wanted an online form that would be both faster and more secure than sending applications in the mail.
People were also annoyed by the image slideshow at the top of the homepage. It was too distracting for them and made it difficult to read the rest of the page. However, they still wanted to include the pictures on the site.
In collaboration with representatives of the Centerville Washington Foundation and the CTO of Arehart Consulting, I began to research solutions for our preliminary challenges and develop a design.
Their need for a Grant Application form led me to discover the Formidable Forms plugin on WordPress. After some discussion, we determined which fields were necessary from the PDF on their previous site. We secured it with Captcha to ensure bots couldn't spam it and made sure that everything was functioning properly.
To cover the blog posts, I created a blog template for the site that the person editing would have to select after creating the entry. We gave them a different role in the Admin side of WordPress to protect the rest of the site.
Then I created a preliminary design of what might be included on the Homepage.
